Cologne Chip develops and manufactures ISDN controller ICs for Basic Rate and Primary Rate Access.
The company offers single-chip solutions for ISDN cards and ISDN terminal adapters (for Internet access over USB, PCI or PCMCIA). Besides PC applications, there are highly integrated HDLC controller and ISDN transceiver chips available for almost all kind of embedded applications (such like ISDN PBX, digital phones, VoIP gateways, Integrated Access Devices (IAD), POS terminals, LAN routers, ISDN test equipment and video conferencing).
The HFC-8S is a HDLC B- and D-channel controller with 8 integrated S/T interfaces. It can be used for ISDN basic rate lines. All channels are served fully duplex by deep FIFOs. Also implemented is a PCM128 / PCM64 / PCM30 highway interface (which is able to connect to many telecom serial busses) and an universal external bus interface.
The HFC-S active is an ISDN telecommunication microprocessor system on a single chip (SoC). It is based on a powerful 32-Bit ARM7TDMI RISC processor with 16- and 32-bit instruction set. This industrial standard processor includes on-chip debugging facilities (embedded ICE).
The HFC-S mini is a single-chip ISDN S/T HDLC basic rate controller for embedded applications. The S/T interface, HDLC-controllers, FIFOs and a microprocessor interface are integrated in the HFC-S mini.
The XHFC-1SU is an ISDN transceiver chip for one ISDN S/T or UpN
Basic Rate Interface with integrated HDLC controllers for all kinds of BRI equipment. The integrated microprocessor bus interface of the XHFC-1SU can be configured to 8 bit parallel microprocessor interface or serial processor interface (SPI). A PCM128 / PCM64 / PCM30 interface for CODEC or inter-chip connection is also integrated. The deep FIFOs of the XHFC-1SU are realized with an internal SRAM.
