Polar provides tools for the electronics industry which simplify traditionally complex tasks. With operations in the US, UK, Europe, Singapore and Japan, Polar has a successful track record dating back to its foundation in 1976.
From our roots in PCB test, Polar has successfully taken leadership in the testing of on board PCB transmission lines "controlled impedance" in the printed circuit fabrication industry.
If you need to test impedance on PCBs the new RITS520a allows you to make repeatable on-board impedance measurements with throughput 16 times faster than a manual system
Cost effective fixtureless PCB test and troubleshooting systems. You can debug faulty circuit boards after functional test or fault find on short series and prototype production. The GRS500 is now available on a cost effective rental or rent/purchase basis
The new Si9000 Transmission Line Field Solver incorporates fast and accurate lossless and frequency-dependent PCB transmission line modelling. The Si9000 extracts RLGC matrices and 2-Port (single-ended) or 4-Port (differential) S-Parameters for a wide range of PCB transmission lines, graphing impedance magnitude, loss (conductor loss, dielectric loss and insertion loss), inductance, capacitance, resistance, conductance and skin depth.
Invented by Polar, the TONEOHM has become synonymous with short circuit location on both bare and loaded PCBs. The instruments are used to locate the physical position of shorts to within a small area by PCB assemblers (particularly in conjunction with ATE) as well as bare board manufacturers.
