The Pro Design Electronic GmbH is a well-known medium-sized enterprise and was founded in 1981 by Helmut Mahr. Approximately 100 coworkers are up-to-date busy at different research and development as well as sales locations. With over 27 years experience as service provider for the electronic industry, we are an extremely reliable and estimated partner of our customers. We offer not only a all-comprehensive service range for Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing Services, but also self manufactured products and development services for the ranges chip design (CHIPit) and industrial image processing (IMAGEit) on basis of FPGAs and VHDL.

On December 18, 2008 Synopsys closed its acquisition of ProDesign’s CHIPit business unit.
