The AHA3602C GZIP compression core a high-speed
hardware compression accelerator available for ASIC and FPGA implementations.
It is fully compliant with the GZIP File Format Specification version 4.3
(RFC-1952), the ZLIB Compressed Data Format Specification version 3.3

- ASIC and IC Design
The AHA3610 GZIP compression coprocessor is a single
chip CMOS VLSI device that implements the open-source GZIP (Deflate) lossless
data compression and decompression algorithm. It supports a simultaneous
compression/decompression data rate of 2.5 Gbits/sec, while achieving
compression performance equivalent to GZIP S/W. The device implements 2 high
speed 16-bit parallel DDR interfaces for easy integration in to many
microprocessor based systems.
The AHA370PCIe is a PCI Express plug-in card that adds
GZIP compression acceleration to data networking systems. This card supports data rates of 10.0
Gigabits per second while achieving high compression ratios equivalent to high
effort GZIP software. Communication and
storage networks require high speed compression solutions to reduce latency on
communication links, reduce bandwidth on these links, and reduce media
requirements when storing files to disk or tape.
The AHA400PCIe is a PCI Express plug-in card that
recovers lost packets in a network. The board encodes and sends FEC source
packets and repair packets through the channel. A matching decoder on the
receiving end will recover lost packets. The maximum channel coded block size
is 255 packets. Depending on channel conditions, not all of the repair packets
need to be transmitted. When the decoder at the receiving end has received 128
packets out of the total 255 source and repair packets for that specific block
then the original 128 source packets are restored and output over the PCB’s DMA

The AHA4702D FEC decoder core is fully compliant with
section 5.3 of the Digital Video Broadcast S2 (DVB-S2) standard. It is capable of 200 Mbit/sec user data rate
with a 2/3 rate LDPC Code and 25 iterations in an ASIC. The core supports all codes, frame sizes, and
interleave schemes set forth in the DVB-S2 specification for broadcast,
interactive, digital satellite news gathering, and professional services. The core allows code and modulation changes
on a block-by-block basis to fully support both Adaptive Coding and Modulation
(ACM) and Variable Coding and Modulation (VCM).
